This no-prep back to school craft is a fun way to get to know your kids! There are 9 different designs for your students to choose from, as well as 3 options without text if you’d like them to add their own ideas or use the boxes for a different activity. The boxes will be much sturdier and last longer if you print the templates on a thicker card, but normal computer paper will work too. Depending on the age group, you may want to help your kiddos with some of the cutting and pasting.

The headings are:

• My name

• I am… (for example, friendly, sporty, shy, etc)

• I like…

• This is me (self-portrait)

• My birthday is on:

Some suggestions for the completed activity:

• Classmates can write notes or kind comments to each other and leave them in the box.

• Students can use it as a worry box. They write down anything they’re worried about, leave it in the box, and at the end of the day you can remove it.

• You can leave encouraging notes and/or gold stars for your students.

• Put a message and candy in the box on their birthdays.
